The Puzzle:
The players must use their tracking skills to determine which paw print belongs to which animal. In order to do this, the players must consider the size and shape of the paw prints, as well as any other distinguishing features.
Use lots of skill checks to find and identify different prints.
Solution:
To solve the puzzle, the players must examine the paw prints carefully and use their knowledge of the animals to determine which paw print belongs to which animal.
The players may begin by comparing the size of the paw prints to each other. The bear’s paw print is the largest, followed by the wolf’s, then the deer’s, the rabbit’s, the fox’s, and the beaver’s paw print is the smallest.
Next, they should look at the shape of the paw prints. The wolf’s paw print is oval-shaped with long claws, the bear’s paw print is round with short claws, the deer’s paw print is elongated with small hooves, the rabbit’s paw print is small and compact with short claws, the fox’s paw print is narrow and elongated with sharp claws, and the beaver’s paw print is wide and flat with webbed toes.
Finally, the players should look for any other distinguishing features, such as scars or markings on the paw prints. With this information, the players should be able to correctly match each paw print to the correct animal.
