- Type: Terrain puzzle
- Location: across a wide chasm
- Difficulty: Easy
Background:
Your party has been exploring a treacherous underground dungeon, and you have finally reached the lowest level. As you make your way through the dark corridors, you come across a room filled with a complex network of traps and puzzles. You know that you must navigate this room in order to reach the treasure that lies beyond it.
The Puzzle:
As you enter the room, you see that the floor is covered in a series of interconnected tiles, each marked with a different symbol. You also notice that some of the tiles are trapped, with thin wires leading from them to various pressure plates around the room. You realize that you must navigate the room by stepping only on the safe tiles, avoiding the trapped ones.
However, the symbols on the tiles do not seem to correspond to any particular pattern, and you have no way of knowing which tiles are safe and which are not. You must find a way to determine which tiles are safe in order to make it through the room.
Solution:
The solution to the puzzle is to use a simple process of elimination. First, you must identify all of the trapped tiles by searching for the pressure plates around the room and following the wires back to the tiles they are connected to. Once you have identified all of the trapped tiles, you can simply step on all of the remaining tiles until you find one that is safe.
This process may take a few tries, but eventually you will be able to determine which tiles are safe and which are not, allowing you to navigate the room and reach the treasure beyond.
